This policy explains what HITLYTIX collects, why, and the rights you have. HITLYTIX is a real-time website analytics service.

1. Who we are

HITLYTIX ("we", "us") operates the website at hitlytix.com and the analytics service. Contact: contact@hitlytix.com.

2. Two groups of people

• Account holders are people who sign up to use HITLYTIX.
• Website visitors are people who visit a site where an account holder has installed our tracking script. For this data, the account holder is generally the controller and HITLYTIX acts as a processor.

3. Data we collect

From account holders: email address, login credentials (stored securely), websites added, and basic usage of the dashboard.

From website visitors, through the tracking script:

• Pages viewed and timing of activity
• Country (derived from the request)
• Device type and browser
• Traffic source (referrer)

4. How we use data

• To show live and historical analytics in your dashboard
• To operate, secure and improve the service
• To respond to support and privacy requests
• To meet legal obligations

We do not sell personal data.

5. Legal bases (UK/EU)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on contract (providing the service), legitimate interests (security and improvement), consent where required, and legal obligation.

6. Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run HITLYTIX (such as hosting and infrastructure), under confidentiality and data-protection terms, or when the law requires it.

7. Retention

We keep data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR, UK GDPR and California law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. 10. Website owners' responsibilities

If you install HITLYTIX, you are responsible for informing your visitors, updating your own privacy and cookie notices, and obtaining consent where the law requires it.

11. International transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.

12. Children

HITLYTIX is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data as account holders.
